Extracurricular Programs

The education of a child encompasses many facets. Whether your Wildcat is a student athlete or an artist, Wilson Elementary offers a diverse selection of extracurricular opportunities to suit the varied hobbies and interests of our entire student body. Not only do we promote a climate of hard-work and diligence, we also know how to have fun!

Athletics

Fitness is only one of the reasons Wilson Elementary offers an athletics program to our 6th through 8th graders. We believe that participating in sports teaches youngsters the value of cooperation, teamwork, and community representation as they hone important strategy and leadership skills. Children thrive when they encounter positive social and mentor relationships. Student athletes must maintain a C average or better, have no more than one referral, and maintain good attendance and sportsmanship records. We offer the following athletics programs:

Fine Arts

Whether visual or performing arts, Wilson Elementary recognizes the importance of culture in education. We invite our students to participate in our many fine arts electives and clubs:

Our 6th through 8th grade students must have a C average or better and maintain a good attendance record in order to participate in our assorted clubs:
